Keep training sessions positive so your dog looks forward to training because they have good associations with it.

Take your puppy out every 2 to 3 hours and especially first thing in the morning.

They are very smart and need plenty of mental stimulation. Plan to spend considerable time on training to create a well-balanced dog.

 German Shepherds can grow from 55 cm-65 cm

The German Shepherds originated from Germany in the year 1899.

Humans use working dogs such as German Shepherds to perform practical tasks.

World War I brought German Shepherds out West

German Shepherds are the kings of shedding their double coat make them weatherproof.

The breed had to go through a lot of crossing and breeding to reach the way we see them today.

The American soldiers returning from World War I brought the German Shepherds to the US.

By World War II, German Shepherds are also called Military Dog

They are infamous for the amount of shedding. They are generally called German shedders.

Their inclination to becoming overweight or obese is less but they may become overweight if you are not careful enough.

The official name of the German Shepherd dog includes the word "dog."

They are a bit aloof and are wary of strangers and extremely protective of their owners.

They behave well with children and other pets if they are raised with them from puppyhood.
